On 14^th September 2007 the International Association Small size (abbrievation: Small size)  was formally constituted at the co-organisers meeting in Bologna, Italy, where the Association now has its legal seat.

The Board of Directors comprise members of the founding companies, with Roberto Frabetti of La Baracca, Italy, elected as President, and Carlos Herans of Accion Educativa, Spain elected as Vice President for the three year period until December 2009.

The Association's main objectives are to promote the diffusion of performing arts for early childhood (0-6 years) and through doing so, enhance culture for early childhood. The Association has non-profit and non-commercial aims, holds no religious affiliations and is politically neutral.

With Small size now an association it is seeking to expand its membership of partners from public or private European entities, provided they share its aims and objectives and can demonstrate a specific professionalism within the field of performing arts for early childhood (0-6 years).

Membership

Small size is seeking new partners from public or private European entities. Interested parties will need to submit an application to the Board of Directors c/o Roberto Frabetti at La Baracca containing certain professional and legal identification and an agreement to accept the rules of the present Statute.

The decision to admit new members has to be agreed by the Board of Directors at the meeting following the application, which then becomes effective upon receipt of an entrance fee of E200 within a stated timescale.  

An annual contribution will be required from all members, from September 2009. The level of this contribution will be determined annually by the Board of Directors.

The main activity of the Association in its first year is to continue to promote Small size and its diversity of activities. Its goal is to create a more dynamic website both in its information and in its contents.

The potential expansion of Small size will be addressed at meetings in London, Hamm and Bucharest to inform and promote the Association's development.
