Small size seeding fund - July 2007
In support of new productions for children aged 0-4 years

As part of the overall development of the Small Size network, the project seeks to support the production of new pieces of theatre, to extend and diversify the range of work available across Europe for children aged 0-6, but specifically for the younger children within this age-group.

During its pilot phase, the Small Size annual project that ran from 2005 - 2006, predating the currently-funded 2006-2009 project, offered support through La Baracca's partnership with DaTe Danza (Spain). A fund of 3,000 euro was provided for the development of the production Tondo Redondo which was showcased at the Visioni di futuro, visioni di teatro festival in March 2006.

Small size intends to continue supporting the development of eight new productions for children aged 0-4, to be realised by August 2009.

Eight companies and affiliated theatre practitioners have been identified and we are currently evaluating and discussing the potential outcomes with the selected recipients. Once confirmed, further news about this development will be available in the next update of the website.
