Fevered Sleep makes visual theatre, installation, visual art, participatory projects and site-specific performance for audiences of all ages. Since 1997, we have created seventeen new works - eleven for adults, six for children.
Led by Artistic Director, David Harradine, all of Fevered Sleep's work forms part of an ongoing enquiry into the different forms theatre and performance can take. Whether investigating lighting for performance, the nature of the relationship between an artist and child, or innovative models for participatory projects (just three examples of recent areas of research), we are interested not only in making exceptional creative events but also in challenging and expanding the field of theatre itself.
Fevered Sleep is currently working on a devised visual theatre piece Brilliant for under 3's, all about light. Co-produced by Polka Theatre, the production will tour nationally and internationally in 2008.
The production follows the hugely successful And the Rain Falls Down (co-produced with Lyric Hammersmith) which was all about water. The production received great acclaim from press and audiences alike.
''In equal measures enchanting and imaginative, truly engaging its young audience. Truly wonderful''
