ATE organizes street theater festivals, workshop meetings, theatrical gatherings to celebrate World Theater Day, courses of didactics and theatrical pedagogy.

Presentation

The Asociación de Teatro Escolar was founded in 1982.
Over the last two decades, the ATE has organized 25 school theater festivals, with significant participation: an average of 30 groups per festival, around 800 children as interpreters, tens of thousands of spectators attending the performances. The festival is today a cultural reference for the city of Elche.
At the same time, the ATE organizes street theater festivals, workshop meetings, theatrical gatherings to celebrate World Theater Day, courses of didactics and theatrical pedagogy; ATE participates in international congresses and festivals, collaborates with public institutions giving courses in teacher centers and in theatrical animation campaigns.
At present, ATE has more than 50% of public elementary schools as full partners. Seminar meetings are attended by an average of 30 people.
ATE is based in Sala La Tramoia, where, in addition to a theatrical space, there is a documentation center with libraries, recording equipment and a meeting room.
